Dual Currency System
Mooshroomia uses two separate resource-backed currencies:
| Currency | Backed By | Used For |
|---|---|---|
| Diamond Dollars ($) | Diamonds | Player-to-player commerce |
| Claim Blocks | Netherite | Land ownership |
Diamond Dollars
- 1 Diamond = $10,000
- Mine diamonds, then
/sell diamondto convert to cash - Use for player shops and
/paytransfers - No admin-created money — all currency is mined
Claim Blocks
- 1 Netherite Ingot = 100 claim blocks
- Mine ancient debris in the Nether, smelt to netherite, then
/claimblocks buy - Claim blocks are permanent (no selling back)
- 10 netherite ingots = 1,000 claim blocks = roughly a 31x31 area
Why Two Currencies?
Separating commerce money from land money prevents land speculation from draining the transaction economy. Diamonds are common enough for fluid commerce; netherite is rare enough to make land a serious investment.
