Chat Channels
Mooshroomia uses CarbonChat for its cross-server chat system. All chat channels work across every server in the network, so you can talk to players on the Hub, TheFrontier, or Mooshroomia regardless of which server you are on. Chat is also bridged to Discord.

Global is the default channel. When you join the server and type a message, it goes to Global automatically.
How Prefixes Work
There are two ways to use a channel: quick prefixes and switch commands.
Quick prefixes send a single message to a channel without changing your active channel. Start your message with the prefix character and it routes that one message only:
#hello nearby people
This sends "hello nearby people" to the Local channel, but your active channel remains whatever it was before (probably Global).
Switch commands change your active channel. All messages you type afterward go to the new channel until you switch again:
/local
Now everything you type goes to Local. To switch back:
/global
You can also send a single message with the switch command by including the message on the same line. For example, /local hello sends "hello" to Local without permanently switching your channel.
Discord Bridge
Chat is bridged to Discord via DiscordSRV. Messages posted in the designated Discord channel appear in the Minecraft Global chat, and Minecraft Global messages appear in Discord. This lets players stay connected to the server community even when they are not logged in.
Staff Channel
A Staff channel exists for server administrators. It uses the $ prefix and requires special permission. Regular players do not have access to this channel.
