Mooshroomia is the main survival world on the Finite Frontier network -- a libertarian-economy Minecraft server where players build, trade, and govern themselves with minimal rules and no admin handouts. It is a faithful continuation of Liberty Minecraft (LMC), a long-running experiment in libertarian governance that ran from roughly 2015 to 2020.

Connecting

Mooshroomia runs on Paper 1.21.8 and is open to anyone with a valid Minecraft or Xbox account. There is no whitelist and no application process.

Java players connect directly. Bedrock and mobile players connect through Geyser on port 19133. Nintendo Switch players use the BedrockConnect DNS redirect method to reach the server.

The Network

Mooshroomia is part of a multi-server network running behind a Velocity proxy. The network includes:

• Hub -- the lobby server where players arrive after connecting
• Mooshroomia -- the main survival world
• TheFrontier -- a museum server preserving builds and history

The entire network runs on dedicated hardware -- a 128GB RAM server called atlas.

Core Principles

Finite Frontier inherits its guiding philosophy from LMC's founder, NullCase: "Resolve non-violent disputes non-violently." Everything else follows from that single rule. The server has no admin shops, no teleportation commands, no starter kits, and no government services. Players earn everything through gameplay.

Economy

The server runs a dual-currency system:

• Diamond Dollars -- the currency of commerce, minted by selling mined diamonds
• Netherite -- used exclusively to purchase land claim blocks

All trade happens through player-owned chest shops powered by QuickShop-Hikari. There are no admin shops and no price controls. The economy is entirely player-driven.

The World

The overworld and nether are each 7,000 by 7,000 blocks -- roughly the size of Manhattan Island. This finite world means every resource is scarce and every block of land has real value. There is no teleportation; if you want to get somewhere, you walk or ride.

Land Claims

Players protect their builds using GriefPrevention land claims, purchased with netherite ingots. The claim tool is a Golden Axe, following LMC tradition.
